the refrigerator on either the left or right wall of the refrigerator
compartment in an easy to see location.
Westinghouse - Most older models of Westinghouse refrigerators
and freezers had the model number sticker in beside the crisper
drawer on the bottom left side wall of the fridge compartment
and in the case of an upright freezer usually the lower left inside
wall near the bottom
Chest type freezers usually have the model number on either end
or the back of the cabinet
Old models of Kelvinator and Westinghouse also had the model number
behind the kick plate but these would be a very old unit

Hint: It's a good idea when you buy
a new appliance to write the model and serial number in the back
of the operating book and in most cases there is a specially printed
page all set for you to do so. Always include the "PNC"
or "ART" number if there is one on the model label. Store
the operating book in a safe location. The main reason for doing
this is that quite often the model label gets damaged by heat, water
or even from regular cleaning of the appliance.
By writing the model number in the back of your book when the time
comes that you need parts for your appliance you will be able get
your model number from your operating book where it will be easy
to find. |
